RITTMAN: The U.S. Senate has approved funding to add 35 acres to the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, the Medina Gazette reports.
“It is a pretty big deal because we are locked in at 273 acres total and of course way past my time they will start to get to the point where they are going to be low on burial space,” cemetery director Mark Polen told the newspaper.
The expansion is expected to cost $29 million.
The appropriations bill approved by the Senate must now go back to the House, the newspaper said.
